Last week’s earthquake and tsunami in Japan was of course devastating for anyone who went through it or knew of someone who did, and heartbreaking to hear about for the rest of us. But in the midst of all the ensuing negative and grim news regarding this tragic event, there was a poignant story on the Wall Street Journal.
One of the families affected fled their home after the tsunami warnings sounded, leaving behind their two dogs. Two days later, they came back to discover that, instead of their pets being swept away by the ocean flood, their ingenious dogs had instead huddled up on the second story of their home and were perfectly fine.
