Condo demand may increase

Now may be the time to list your condo!

Channel ReefAccording to an article in the Wall Street Journal, condo demand  in the U.S. may increase because of the aging baby boomers population.

It’s not unusual for older homeowners to move from the larger homes where they raised families, to condos, townhouses and apartments. These new homes provide smaller, more manageable living spaces, typically without exteriors and yards to take care of.

Construction of these multifamily buildings is “expected to pick up strongly by early 2014, and single-family-home construction should regain strength by early 2015.” (Leubsdorf, Ben. “Aging Boomers to Boost Demand for Apartments, Condos and Townhouses”. wsj.com)
