“Getting Started with eBooks” Event at Newport Beach Library

Newport Beach libraryThe Newport Beach Public Library Foundation will host a free seminar from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday that will explain how to use the library’s “huge selection of e-books,” according to a news release.

The informal session will explain the free e-book resources at the library, which include iPads you can check out. There is no advance registration, and no reservations will be accepted.

The event will take place in the Friends Room of the Central Library at 1000 Avocado Ave.

Organizers say to bring your e-reader (and remember any passwords) or check out a library iPad. Experts will present a brief talk on Axis360 and Overdrive, online resources containing more than 4,000 book and audiobook titles available for free download. the release said, and staff will answer questions.
