Newport Harbor Nautical Museum — Waterman Lecture Series

The Newport Harbor Nautical Museum will be hosting a three-part lecture series entitled The Voyage of Traveler: A Three-Year Circumnavigation:

Year 1-Preparation 2007 Transpac, Hawaiian Island & French Polynesia’s Society Island- Jan 13 at 7pm –doors open 6:30pm

Year 2-South Pacific Australia, SE Asia, Indian Ocean, Gulf of Aden, the Red Sea and Eastern Mediterranean- Jan 27th, 7pm, doors open 6:30pm

Year 3-Western Mediterranean, Morocco, Crossing the Atlantic, Caribbean, Panama Canal, West Coast of Central America & Mexico. Feb. 10 at 7pm, doors open 6:30pm

Michael Lawler recently completed a 3-year circumnavigation on his own sailboat, Traveler, a North Wind 47. Born in NB, racing sailboats since he was 8, USC Sailing Team, raced ’03, ’05, & ‘0.7 Transpacs & over a dozen Newport to Ensenada Races. He holds a 100-ton USCG Captain’s License.
