St. Josephs Day and the Return of the Swallows Celebration

swallowThousands of swallows return from Argentina at the same time each year so their young can nest safely within the confines of the mission walls. The annual Swallows Day Parade and Fiesta de las Golondrinas celebrate their homecoming with live music and dance performances, community presentations, fun, food, and the ringing of the mission’s historic bells.

When: March 19, 2014, 10am – 2pm
Where: Mission San Juan Capistrano | 26801 Ortega Hwy., San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675
Cost: $10 for Adults, $9 for Seniors (60+) and $6 for Children (Ages 4-11) FREE for Mission Preservation Society Members and Current Volunteers with I.D., and Children 3 and under.
