The Corona del Mar Patch had an article detailing an event to aid the Japanese Disaster Relief Fund. Laguna College of Art & Design is to host a sale of paintings on April 3rd; 100% of the proceeds will go to the Red Cross to help Japan:
Where: 2222 Laguna Canyon Rd, Laguna Beach, CA 92651
Date: April 3, 2011
Students, faculty and staff at Laguna College of Art & Design have gathered to help raise money for disaster relief in Japan.
Two hundred small (8 inches x 10 inches) canvases will be on sale during this event, ranging in price from $30 to $70. One hundred percent of proceeds will benefit the American Red Cross’ Japanese Disaster Relief Fund.
Sales preview will begin at 5 p.m.
I read a heart-warming story from the Wall Street Journal concerning the recent tragedy of Japan’s earthquake and tsunami. You can read it here.
