Each year we celebrate the Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade. This is the 101st year! The Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce spearheads this event. The Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade will begin Wednesday, December 16 and end Sunday, December 20, 2009. Each night the parade starts at 6:3o pm and usually ends around 9 pm. The route is 14 miles long and winds throughout almost the entire harbor. Multi-million dollar yachts, fishing vessels, electric boats, kayaks, and canoes all participate.
The theme this year is “The Joys of Christmas Toys”. What a fun theme the Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce has chosen. I can’t wait to see the exciting and cleverly decorated floating watercrafts. All participants are voluntary and really get into the spirit of decorating their boats for Christmas.
Enjoy this Holiday tradition and come out for the Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade. Pick out your location to see the parade on the route.
